Fizz, fashion and makeovers, it was a glamorous affair at I-on’s latest reader event and I for one was delighted Zen was invited to ensure the great and good of Edinburgh’s brows were on fleek at the special fashion pop-up sale in support of Smart Works.
The evening took place at the swish Lulu nightclub on George Street and it was great to see such an amazing turnout and so many other local Edinburgh businesses, including Cheynes Hairdressing and the stylish womenswear boutiques Epitome and Jane Davidson, join forces to help raise over £6000 for such a worthy cause.
If you haven’t already heard of Edinburgh charity Smart Works, it’s one for your radar because it really is a wonderful charity helping to empower women and get their careers back on track by offering everything from the right support to free clothes and interview training to get them back in the workplace.
In essence they help rebuild a woman’s confidence. And that’s precisely why Zen got involved and offered event goers free brow consultations at the charity night. Well, that and the fact we’re a great believer in supporting local charities. Because at Zen we know that how a woman feels about her appearance often extends well beyond how she dresses. When we feel good, we look good so dressing our ‘armour’ in terms of skin, nails and brows can be the difference of feeling fine and feeling great. So whether it’s pampering from the beauty experts in salon or some DIY beauty treats at home, make sure you take time for you – and only you.
