We are very excited to introduce a talented new threading expert who has joined the Brow Bar team at Teviot Place. Hamideh who has a gift for producing beautiful brows and lashes, and will be working with us every Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. To help her get settled in and introduce her to you, we asked her a few questions…
1. What is so great about threading?
It gives you ultimate control over the shape of the brow. It’s really difficult to remove hair from an area you didn’t want to. It’s also pain free, because the thread isn’t pulling on the skin.
2. How long have you been a threading expert for?
I’ve been practicing threading for 5 years now and have been part of a busy brow bar as a brow expert for over 2. I am very excited to join the Teviot Place Brow Bar and help all of you achieve your brow dreams!
3. We know that having great brows is the thing to have at the moment, but why are they so important?
Your eyebrows shape your face. Having your eyebrows reshaped can change your whole look. Its also a moral boost, having great eyebrows makes everyone feel better and more confident.
4. What other treatments do you do?
I am experienced in all the treatments offered at Zen’s Brow Bar, including regular eyebrow waxing and tinting, eyelash tinting, LVL Lash Lift and HD Brows.
5. How long does it take to get those celebrity perfect brows we all want?
Depending on how strong the growth is I’d say it could take up to 6 months to groom them into shape. After a few treatments your brows will keep the shape and maintenance will be much easier.
If you have damaged eyebrows or eyebrows with very little growth it can take up to a year to get them to grow again, and shape them. I would always recommend getting a course of treatments and a good quality eyebrow conditioner if you are looking to re-grow and re-shape.
6. Tell us a little about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I also like to write in my spare time actually. I also like to watch some watch the football. I used to hate the football but my husband loves it and has it on all the time, now I think I’m a bigger fan than him!
7. Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.
I used to play competitive ping pong to a pretty high level. I have lots of medals and trophies from tournaments when I was younger. It doesn’t seem to be as big in Edinburgh but if I could find a club I would play all the time!
