At Zen Lifestyle, we always strive to provide our customers with the best possible service and treatments across our three beauty salon and day spas in Edinburgh, and in order to do so, we continually invest in our team and provide them with extensive training and regular opportunities to grow and develop.
Therefore, we were delighted to have recently been awarded the Investors in People Standard, a comprehensive assessment of a company’s people management practices carried out by Investors in People, a national organisation which benchmarks performance against proven world class standards.

Our report, which we recently received following an assessment in September, said: ‘The Investors in People assessment provided a consistent picture of how people are lead, managed and developed in Zen Lifestyle.
‘Having carried out the assessment in accordance with the guidelines provided by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, I was satisfied beyond any doubt that Zen meets the requirements of the Investors in People Standard.
‘I believe that you are truly committed to engaging and inspiring your people and I was particularly impressed with how you have created and maintained a culture that energises people.
‘Fiona, Kieran and the management team have created a ‘people brand’ of which they can be extremely proud, and as a result, I believe Zen Lifestyle is a great place to work.’
Excellence in beauty care
Although we are slightly biased, we could not agree more! We work extremely hard to engage and inspire our staff, and it has fully equipped them with the confidence and ability to achieve excellence.
Talking of excellence, we were thrilled to find out that our much-loved beauty therapist, Julie Brown, has been nominated for Therapist of the Year in the internationally recognised Professional Beauty Awards.
As well as Julie’s nomination, we have also been nominated for Employer of the Year – 21 Employees or More, Beauty Salon of the Year – Three Rooms or Fewer, and Beauty Salon of the Year – Four Rooms or More.
The winners of the awards will be announced on February 23 at a glittering black-tie event in London, and we truly hope that we can to add to our achievements on the evening as a reward to our amazingly talented and hard-working team.
