If you are passionate about skin care and the beauty industry, this is the position for you. Candidates qualified to a minimum of SVQ Level 3, with at least 18 months experience in a busy salon or spa, are preferred - however, if you are enthusiastic and have less experience, we will still consider your application.
You must be articulate, hard working and a great team player, keen to further your career and learn new skills. Above all, you must be enthusiastic! Both internal and external training courses will be included in the initial induction programme. THREADERS / BROW SPECIALISTS
We currently need a therapist with expert threading skills to support increasing levels of business at our Brow Bar. The successful candidate could be either a brow expert specialising in threading or a qualified beauty therapist with very strong skills and experience in threading.
Extensive experience in threading and a high skill level is essential for this role. There will be scope to offer a wide range of lash and brow treatments at our busy brow bar, including HD Brows and lash extensions. For a qualified beauty therapist there would also be the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of other treatments. A good receptionist can make a big difference in the client’s experience and plays a key role in supporting the busy team of therapists. Background in beauty, cosmetics or the spa industry is preferred, although candidates who can demonstrate a genuine interest in the beauty industry will also be considered.
To be successful in this role you will need exceptional customer service skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of demanding clients. As well as excellent communication skills, you will also need to be well organised and have great administrative abilities. You should be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. This role would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and who gets a kick out of providing outstanding customer service.
Due to the salon’s opening hours this role involves some evening and weekend work on a rotating shift. OUR SUCCESS STORY
Fiona started the business in 1999 with the original Zen Lifestyle in Bruntsfield. We opened our flagship Hanover St salon in 2011. since then the business has gone from strength-to-strength and is recognised nationally for its innovative approach and industry leading training programmes.
Fiona is a highly experienced therapist and leads the training and skills development programmes with the salons. The business is run by Fiona and her husband Kieran, who have a six-year-old son, Harris. They are supported by Operations Manager Carrie, and a dedicated reception team and therapy team in each salon.
