Zen is Ten- Let's Party!
Zen Lifestyle will be shortly be reaching a amazing milestone - our 10th anniversary as a business. To celebrate we will be having a party:
When: Saturday 21st November: 8pm-1am
Where: Blue, Cambridge Street (above Traverse Theatre)
What: Bubbles & Nibbles @ 8pm, music, dancing & fun

Zen Lifestyle is pleased to provide support to the Edinburgh Women's Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre. We are using the ten year celebration as an opportunity to raise a little money for this very worthwhile charity. This is a cause that all of us at Zen hold very close to our hearts. As many of you may be are aware there was a dreadful incident early in the year when one of our team members was brutally attacked in the middle of the day in Edinburgh. This affected all the staff massively as you can imagine and now we would like to raise as much money as possbile for this wonderful charity. Our colleague was no longer able to face being in Edinburgh so has returned to her home counrty to recover with the help and support of her husband and family. We miss her massively and really want to try and help and support others that have been through similair situations.
We are asking each person attending the party to make a conribution of at least £10. If you do this through the following link and tick the gift aid option your donation will also get the tax added to it, equivalent to an extra £2.82 for every £10 donated.:

'Less than one in 20 rapes reported to the police in Scotland results in a successful conviction. In 2000 a total of 562 rapes were recorded by the police. There were proceedings against 50 suspects where rape was the main offence involved, with 27 convictions. In 1999 there were 27 convictions out of a total of 591 reported rapes.'
'In 2003/04 there were a total of 12,354 recorded offences of rape of a female, this represents an increasse of eight percent from the previous year'
'One in four women have experienced rape or attempted rape'
What your money will pay for:
- £2 will pay an information and support pack to be sent out.
- £5 pays for a copy of Courage to Heal for the EWRASAC libary.
- £52 pays to hosts the EWRASAC website for a whole year.
- £87.27 is the average amount needed to provide support to each survivor who contacts EWRASAC.
