New clinic for medical cosmetic treatments.

We are delighted to announce that Zen Lifestyle has teamed up with Dr Rita Rakus, the UK’s leading practitioner in medical aesthetics. Dr Rakus, known through her TV appearances as ‘The London Lip Queen’, operates the fifth largest Thermage clinic in the world, based in Knightsbridge, London, and is a leading industry expert on Fraxel Laser. Together with her medical partner Dr Terry Loong, we will be able to provide the very highest standard of cosmetic medical treatments on a regular basis at our Teviot Place salon.

The first clinic for injectables, including Botox and a wide range of dermal fillers, will be on Wednesday 18th May, followed by a clinic on Saturday 11th June. Consultations for Thermage & Fraxel will also be available. It is intended to alternate between Saturdays and Wednesday evenings to accommodate as many clients as possible.

Dr Rakus’ first clinic for Fraxel and Thermage treatments will be at our Teviot Place salon on Saturday 25th June, consultaltions for Fraxel and Thermage will take place with her associate Dr Terry on Wednesday 18th May and Saturday 11th June.

Have you ever looked at the beautiful women on TV or in the numerous celebrity gossip and fashion magazines and wondered how they get that dewy complexion, porcelain looking skin and beautifully shaped brows…..well we all have I’m sure, but we all also know that models in magazines are airbrushed to perfection and what is seen is not quite the real deal. However, a lot of these women (and lets not forget the men) look beautiful and radiant without the aid of a computer mouse, so what are their secrets?

Well here at Zen we took it upon ourselves to do a little digging to find out who uses what and we think that it’s only fair that we share our findings. Well, its good enough for them….

A lovely afternoon catching up with Murad.

Last Wednesday we were delighted to have an afternoon with our new Murad rep Jennifer and Elliot Walker, Managing Director of Murad UK.  It was a fun and informal afternoon with lots of tea, biscuits and chat.

The girls used the time to pick Jennifer and Elliot’s brains and all things Murad, we also received our new Murad starter kits which we now have in stock at both salons.

The kits are priced at £25.00 or £29.95, we have kits for all the ranges; Vitalic (pomegranate), Environmental, Resurgence and Blemish, they really are a great way to try some of the Murad products or take on holiday as they are travel sizes!.

Jennifer and Elliot also gave us some exciting news on a new product range that has just been launched…..the Anti-ageing clarifying range!

This range is designed for mature skin that suffers from breakouts (a far more common problem than people think) The small range is designed to work alongside the other Murad products and consists of two key products. Blemish and Wrinkle Reducer is designed to clear congestion and diminish the appearance of fine line and wrinkle and the Anti-Ageing Moisutsiser minimizes oil production, is light weigh and has an SPF 20.
